Trance and religious experience in Candomblé
An experience situated in the tradition, not a diagnosis.

Context of the experience
Candomblé studies describe trance and manifestation of divinities in ritual contexts. That does not authorize classifying every experience as a line of spirits nor presume the same practice in all communities.
Care and limits
Do not use religious information as diagnosis, treatment or promise of cure. Symptoms and suffering need proper health care.
Religious learning happens in living together, in orality and in the guidance of people recognized by the community. A page on the internet does not replace initiation nor authorize reproducing restricted practices.
