Candomblé Angola
Ketu, Jeje and Angola are important references of Candomblé diversity. Orixás, voduns and inquices belong to their own histories and liturgies: they are not just different names for a single catalog.

Central African roots
Candomblé Angola relates to Bantu roots in Central Africa. Inquices and their own liturgical vocabularies need to be understood in that context, without reducing Angola to a variation of Ketu.
History and autonomy
Candomblé was formed in Brazil from the presence of enslaved Africans and their descendants, in relations of resistance, memory and re-creation. It has no single founding date nor a founder common to all houses.
Practices and names vary by nation, lineage and house. This text does not establish a universal foundation nor identify the specific tradition of CASA PAI ROGERIO.
